Hello there,
I have reserved a spot at the table for the 18th of Nov. Im posting here to let everyone know I am a beginner. I do not have much experience with RP but Im willing to learn and eager for experience . I have some background n roll20 and have played a couple 5e campaigns but I have not delved too deeply into the rules and small nuances. Im posting here to ask if you think its a good idea to show on the 18th to play? Reading through the forums I now realize the group/party is deep into the campaign I would hate to join to slow down the party. Be honest, be open, and please let me know if you think its a good idea to show up and create a character and participate in the fun. I am looking forward to it but would hate to sit down at a table of experts and be an outsider. Im planning on creating a Barbarian. I like their play style and I feel I can really help in combat scenarios. Since Im not too great at the RP side of the game I try to help (sacrifice) as much as possible for the party.
So do you think you could welcome me with open arms? I will need to purchase a PHB and some die but whats better than a noob to walk through every small detail!? Thanks alot either way and keep it up, I think D&D is awesome!

absolutely we would welcome anyone to the game regardless of experience. It's a game and we all just want to have fun. My suggestion might be to show up a little early and talk to Candi so she can get you familiar with what's going in in the story, and talk to you about your character. As far as being worried about rules, and mistakes. Dont worry about it all. Everyone is very patient and we've all been there. Just come in and roll some dice. It's a great time

Hi, Absolutely come on in and play. If you have an idea of what you want to play you can email me directly at the store or stop on in. If you want a pregen so you can hop right in that is good too. I'd say just let me know which way you want to go, as the party is currently 13th level and they can take a bit longer to generate a character.
As was said we are more then happy to teach, although I will warn you that this campaign isn't strictly 5th edition as it is converted from D&D 3.0/ Pathfinder. 99% of that though isn't something you have to worry about as that is more for me to figure out the mechanics behind the scenes. We focus pretty heavily on RP and the story development, so in the end tell me what you want to try and we will see if it's possible.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to us at the store, or to post here to get an idea of the other cast members you will be playing with.

And if you want to get a feel for the campaign before your first session, you could also come by on the 11th and just observe for a while.

This is a very welcoming environment. I've only been playing RPGs since April and the people who play have been more than helpful. Everybody is willing to teach and answer questions. You will have a great time. The Sunday game is a blast.
