What an unimpressive and rather irksome series of events in this bizarre basement. Some of our party inquire into a small closet that miraculously finds the means to burst into flames! I will continuously wonder the functionality of some individuals' behaviors. My immediate line of deductionation brings me to extinguishing the fire promptly before you suffer injuries! Any yet some seem to pay no mind to the health and well-beingness of themselves and others. While I pass no judgment, I find myself mostly confounded.
And my confoundation merely devolves to self-reflection. This absence of my community brings great pangs of self-criticism and self-doubt. Through a moment of boredom and lack of usefullness, I think that I am not much of an adventurer. There are the obvious perks of my charm, friendly demeanor, ability to heal. But I am no combat expert like my dearest Ali and darlin' Drexie. I feel I do not possess the steadfastness of Latte and Kerry. I certainly am not as agile as Tali or quick to action like Arkie. And while my magic serves me and my compatriots well, I lack the might of offensive capabilities of Sleepy. Do I dare reflect on my faith in the family as the possible source of my limitation? Is there a crack in my devotion to Father Sugarbaker and the Light? I hesitate to even recollect this detail, but I must address it. While I brought forth one of my magical abilities, where I channel the powerful and impactful speech and rhetoric of Father Increase Sugarbaker, something different escaped my verbalation. My own voice seemed to be the louder whisper among the chorus. While I unfortunately do not fully comprehend the meaning of this event, I find myself dedicated to exploring this new feature.
I continuously ponder why it was in fact me who failed to be present during whatever calamity or rapture befell my community. Is this the sign I have been misreading? Is it merely I am in some capacity unworthy, or something greater - and more unnerving - about my calling? Is there not a chance that what I've been dedicated to my not be the path to my own fulfillment? The presence of my own verbage in my spell seems to lend itself to this fact. Of course I felt connection and belonging in my home. But with this ongoing exposureation, it has brought me moments of reflection on my unbringingness. Some of our methodology and pillars of faith seem bizarre and unaligned with how the greater world operates. When others questioned these practices, Father Increase Sugarbaker quickly silenced these questions and rallied other family members to correct their cousin's quandaries. I do now find myself questioning, but with much more substantial and concrete rationalities for the debunkation of some of the teachings. I do find goodness and light in the world, but through a different path.
There is room in my heart for faith, in multitudes.
With love and light, PBH

I'm still searching the closet with Drexler, Talindra and Layton when I hear a rather dwarven sounding shriek come from out beyond the other room. Layton and Tali run out, Layton whispering to me that he's allowing Drexler and I some alone time. I gulp, staring at the fighter for a moment before he takes his whip in hand. Oh, mother Selune, please cure my awkwardness with this man!
"Continue searching, this shouldn't take long!" He says with a grin as he dashes out.
"Right. Ok, crate- show me your goods!"
I open the next crate and it's just shingles. Drat.
"Guys, do you need me out there?" I call.
"No, we're fine!" sLeeP calls back, a little tension in her voice. They're clearly battling something. "Keep searching the room!"
"Alright!" I open another crate. "Just scream if you need anything!"
This one is just nails. I hear the sounds outside the room getting more frenzied, and some cries of pain. I don't think they have things as handled as they claim.
"You all clearly can't handle yourselves, I'm coming! Clear some space!"
"I'm trying!" Layton yells back as I dash through the pool room. "The dwarf is in the way!"
I make it to the room they're all packed into, and see two bodies hanging from the ceiling over a pit, swinging around and trying to grab at my friends.
"I do believe they are scarecrows!" Announces Layton, motioning me forward. "If you will, dear Abby-"
I move up to the edge of the pit, and sacred flame one of the swinging scarecrows. It retaliates, swinging towards me and grabs me! I'm dragged forward, and dumped into the pit. It's a twenty foot drop that ends in me thudding against hard ground. And worst off, it's covered in broken glass. I feel it cut into me all over, and sigh.
"Asinine, no!" Penny yells.
"I'm alright!" I call back. "Just a bit of broken glass!"
And maybe a broken ass, but we won't talk about that. I get to my feet, picking glass out of my hands, anger seething through me. How in the hells am I going to get out of this pit? And those scarecrows must pay for the inconvenience they're giving us. I try to breathe deeply, to calm and focus myself, but the damage is done.
"You a**hole!" I shriek as one tries to grab more of my friends, swinging above me.
Suddenly the pit is filled with light, and I realize it's coming from me. I begin to rise, and see wings made of light spread behind me. My flamboyant Uncle Tobyas always told me I was special like him, but this certainly hasn't happened before! I fly up, glaring at the scarecrows. I see Drexler stop dead raising his whip, mouth agape. That's right, Drexy, keep staring!
Someone kills one of the scarecrows just as the one I sacred flame swings towards me. I dodge out of the way, and Kerata finishes it off while muttering something about fluffy chicken wings. I land on the other side of the pit and check on the elf. The others start regrouping, and Penny does healing on some of them.
"S***! I left my bag back in the store room!" I announce, flying back over the pit. "Anyone want to come with me?"
"I'll go with you, Angeldust!" Penny says.
"Thank you, Penny!"
We head back and finish searching the room, finding absolutely nothing. So we go back to the pit room, and find that most of us can jump across with no issue. Kerata and Penny, however, cannot make the jump. My wings are gone, but I'm strong enough to carry Penny and jump. Once we are on the other side she elects to sit on my shoulders, transforming us into a healing-killing machine.
Drexler opens the door, and goes in the next room full of broken coffins. Unfortunately, one of the coffins turns out to be a mimic and dives on him, trying to eat him. Penny and I rush in, and she shoots her crossbow over my head. Drexler breaks away, bloodied and beaten, and I rush after him.
"Hang in there, Drexy!" I cast a healing spell on him, and follow it up with a kiss on his cheek. He touches his cheek, looking confused and blushing.
"Thank you, pretty angel lady." He turns back to the battle.
"Aspartame, you kissed him!" Hisses Penny into my ear before firing off another bolt.
"Shut up!" I laugh, and send a sacred flame at the coffin mimic.
Layton mentions the bones on the floor are moving, and starts panicking that they're going to form into something, but the mimic dies and they stop. Thank goodness, I didn't feel like picking a bone with any more things today.
We search the room and the coffins, and find some potions. Then we start checking out the other doors from this room. The first one Drexler and I go into, followed by the others, and find two prison cells. In one is the body of a dragonborn, and the other has two very much alive half elf girls. Tali talks to them and finds out they came up here to sell things to the Aquisitions Incorporated folks, and unfortunately stayed the night that the attack happened. The dragonborn I'm the other cell was acting as a guard to them, but unfortunately got taken away by his bosses, and brought back dead.
Tali escorts them out after we convince them staying with us will not help us or them. We don't want to be responsible for anything happening to anyone, that's how lawsuits happen. As they leave, I head into the other cell with Drexler as my guard. I lean over the body, readying myself to begin the postmortem examination, when suddenly I'm assaulted by a fowl stench. The body moves, and gets to its feat. Drexler springs into action as the ghoulish thing attacks me. I'm wretching as it claws at me, but Drexler doesn't seem bothered by its scent.
"Do you not- gak- smell that?!"
"Can't say I do!"
I finally am able to attack, and start swinging on it with my greatsword. The others join in, and soon it falls dead once more at one last lashing from Drexler. I lean against the cell wall catching my breath.
"You alright?" Layton asks. I can tell he doesn't really care, but he tries to be polite at least.
"I'm great," I pant. "Hazards of the job."
Tali returns, and we do some more searching before heading to the other door in the coffin room. This one leads into a hallway and then a storage room. With absolutely nothing in it. So, we take a rest and then backtrack to the pool room. After what seems like forever, someone finds a secret door! Drexler gets it open, and I take a look in.
"It's another corridor," I announce. "I'm going down it. I'll let you know what I see, but let's at least try to be quiet?"
I proceed down, and it is soon clear I am the opposite of quiet with my chingy chainmail and heavy boots. This is why I'm a healer and a fighter, not a thief. I come to a drop off, and look ahead to see two bridges crossing a ravine.
"Careful, friends," I warn. "There's a drop-off."
I proceed in, and hear the sound of... chewing? Looking into the ravine, it is filled with bones.
"There's something chewing on bones, I think." I whisper.
Kerata and I go along the side of the ravine, and I cast light down into it.
"We going in?" I ask her.
"Demon and Angel, going into a strange pit? I'm game!"
We both slide down the embankment, and land in the bones. The source of the noise quickly reveals itself when two swarms of horrible insects rise up, and start swarming on both of us. It becomes clear that these things really, really hurt. I call out for backup, and the rest of the party starts coming to our aid.
Soon Layton takes Kerata's place, attempting to defend me as I'm getting eaten alive. Drexler stands on the top of the ridge, whipping down at my swarm. From this angle, seeing through the cloud of buzzing insects, he looks like some great hero, driving away a horrible beast. He is whipping his way into my heart one crack at a time. I shake my head, feeling the bugs biting into me and trying to get my head back in the fight.
'Girl, this is not the time to be thirsting after some cute mercenary with a whip! You're here for a job, Alastrine!'
'Uncle Toby? Is that you?'
I'm hacking at the swarm with my sword, and halfway to my grave when Penny calls out that Father Increase Sugarbaker blesses me with his light, and I feel life restore to me. The bugs all die, and we all stand looking at one another and catching our breath.
"Anyone opposed to going back to the inn? This has been a great birthday, but I am spent!"
And so we return to the inn, battered and bruised, and have one more drink before going off to bed. I bid goodnight to my roommate and new best friend Penny, and am asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

Just when I started to think things might slow down I hear fighting from beyond the pool room. Rushing in I see two scarecrows swinging from weird rope things. The others are engaged and I rush in to do what I can.
Layton triesssss to tell the dwarf to back off so he can take the front line but Arkenfeld ignores him. Dwarves kinda do what they want when they want.
Alastrine joins the battle. A scarecrow grabs her and pulls her into the pit. She lands with a thump and proclaims that she is ok. Suddenly the pit over flows with light! Alastrine floats out of it on wings of light! Gone is the green dye and I cannot help but to stare at her. I catch her eye and politely close my gaping mouth and look away.
The swinging scarecrows are defeated. Jumping back and forth and through sLeePs magic we make it across the pit and through the door. In the next room I see three broken coffins and a smaller unbroken one.
Moving toward the smaller coffin I see it quiver and part of it lashes out and slaps me! I call for help and draw my rapier. I hear the others begin to enter the room behind me. The coffin looks like it begins to melt as it reforms itself into a hideous looking monster.
A mimic! The others pile in and join me. I strike at it and back off giving Layton a chance to take my place. The mimic lashes out again and hits me hard! My ribs have cracked and it’s hard to breath. Layton moves in and attacks the mimic.
Alastrine moves next to me with Penny in her shoulders. Alastrine begins to cast a spell, draws close to me and kisses me on the cheek. Healing energy courses though me. Penny giggles as I blush and mumble a thank you.
The mimic defeated we search the coffin room. Some money and potions were and identified. We head back to the pool room to rest. The water of this pool is clear cool and refreshing.
A secret door is found in the corner! They want me to inspect and open it. I do and Alastrine takes the lead down a long hallway clomping as she goes. I fall to the rear of the group to watch our back.
I hear the sounds of a fight and some of our party fighting. Rushing forward I leave the tunnel and come to a large cavern. I see a small bridge over a long split in the floor. Sounds of fighting come from the pit. Rushing to the edge I see Alastrine literally being swarmed by a thick cloud of insects. Yuck!
Drawing my whip I take careful aim and attack Alastrines swarm. Not terribly effective but it’s better than nothing. The crack of my whip got Alastrines attention and through the swarm I see her staring up at me. Awkward.....
The journey down here has taken its toll on all of us and against Laytons protests we leave and make our way out of here. The inn is a welcome sight even in the dark of night.

I can’t help but chuckle as I leave the half angel and the roguish fighter to settle there affairs. Ah young love. So innocent and naive. Will it grow and bloom or wither and die? Only time will tell. I join the rest of the group in cutting down down rogue scarecrows but for the life of me The dwarf will not let me forward to the front! Ah such frustration. The moment he moves I try to push to the front only for Kerata to take that spot! Aah. Abby and Drexler finally join us as one of the dangling strawmen grasp her and pulls her into the hole. I still hear her down there, talking about glass. Hmm. Suddenly the pit in the group lights up and out floats Abby, her wings shimmering in a white light. Hmmm. Weird. I ponder to myself finially making it to the front line as one of the straw man bounces off my sheild. Soon we reduce them back to straw and move onto the next room. Drexler goes first along with another. Penny is riding on Abby. It’s not long till the sounds of trouble Mets my ears. Charging in I see the rattling of bones and a room filled with coffins. One has teeth chewing on Drexler. I shuffle my way forward, once again bumping into my comrades to my ire. I finially reach the terrible mimic beast as Drexler hobbles away. Such a vicious bit. I must finish this. I place my hand on my blade, filling it with divine energy till the sword hisses with power. I head it over head and down goes the snickering blade as blood and guys burst up from the bisected coffin. It slumps you the ground as the rattling silence. “The beast is dead.” I announce, taking a handkerchief from my person wiping my face. Oh dear. I’m going to need more of those. Soon we stumble upon a prison, a dead Dragonborn in one cage and two half elf’s in another. They reveal to us a terrible plot. Once the tale concludes our ranger escorts them back outside as Abby begins to deduce the state of the Dragonborn corpse. But wait. The fellow isn’t actually dead. He is actually a terrible beast, rotting and revolting in smell. Abby grows ill as her lover rushes fearlessly to her aid. I step into the room unabashed and unflinching from its terrible odor. I have smelled worst in the serpent hills. Eventually we rekill the beast. I’m disgruntled when the dwarf scoops up all the old platinum coins without even asking to spit it up but I try not to let myself be discouraged. I’ll find funds somehow. I need to remove the annoyance clinging to my soul, attracting misfortune. It makes me defective as a warrior and I do not like being flawed. We come upon a dead end but we find another passage away back where we started. It twists and turns till the tunnel opens up into a wide room with a trench. I inspect the bridge looking below to see the many corpses. Testing the bridge I find it stable. Abby and Kerata though decide to take a more personal look before sliding on in all chipper and carefree. Oh.. the smiles wipe off there faces as insects swarm and eat their flesh. Our ranger jumps in but finds the water too hot to take and sends it back off out of the pit. Drexler begins lashing the bugs off Abby. I see an opening as Kerata desperately tries to escape. I slide into her spot as the insects worm their way into my armored legs. I hiss loudly enraged as one digs its fangs deep. I cast a spell to increase my durability and look about. Abby slams her fist into the insect swarm as they explode around her like heated kernels. The rest fall off quickly and I have to take a moment to shake the beetles out of my metal boots. “Well then. That was jolly good fun. Shall we comb through this mess.” “No we need to go back now. I’m out of spells and everyone’s tired.” “Oh. But what about the items here. Isn’t that why you slide into these trenches, dear?” “No we’re leaving.” I can’t help but sigh as we leave. The moment we are safe behind the inns walls do I feel my fatigue descend upon me. I walk into my quarters to find Drexlar in the bed across from mine. Oh right. I am sharing my dormacides with him. I noticed my relationship with him is less then desired. We need to work on our corporation so we better our fighting styles. This seemed the quickest way. To make him not as uncomfortable with my presents. He seems to come upon the same realization as I have as he slips his boots off. “Good evening sir Drexler.” “Hi layton.” He says tired, unbuckling his armor. I then begin with mine and can feel his eyes on my back as i untie the scarf around my neck, escape from the sheets of protective metal and finally pull off my shirt. I know he sees my black scales, tainted into a dark green my the hideous dyes. “They are beautiful no?” I ask him, getting some humor at watching him squirm. “No not really. It’s kind of disturbing.” I flick my tongue out reflexively. “My lady tells me the same. And the answer is yes, I do shed.” “Ew.” “She also said that as well.” I then run my hand down the side of my arm were I can see them shimmer in the right light, though dulles with unsightly green. “You know there is only a slight differences between us. We both share a common ancestry. Though mine are far older.” If he wasn’t comfortable before he is now. “What do you mean?” “My people of course. We are An ancient race but though try as we might we have not forgotten our roots. We were human before until we cast aside our humanity to become more grand” “More like monsterious.” He grumbles as I chuckle. “Indeed. I wonder if it was a wise choice some times. We certainty have gain much from our deal but personally I feel the price was very steep. The poor fools, my ancestors were. So quick to bargain it away. Pity though they can’t not see it.” “They?” “My people Drexler. Who else?” He shuffles in his bed, fists woven together. “So you don’t consider yourself amongst them?” I think to my self, pausing as I untie my boots and rubbing the nasty bit on my shin. “I did once. Not so much now.” I wave a hand absent minded. His eyes narrow as he tries to peer into my soul. “Why?” I huff smirking. “Wouldn’t you like to know.” I stretch and shuffle into the blanks. “Well, as fascinating as this conversation has been I have a long day ahead of us. Sleep well.” I turn over in bed and I can hear him grumbling to his pillow as I pinch the candle wick out. I turn over in bed to watch the moon outside. I wonder if you are doing well, my lady.

I wake up feeling great, and head downstairs with Penny to rejoin the gang. My nose is assaulted by the delicious scent of food, and we come into the bar to find a huge breakfast spread laid out for us. Oh, and the fat politician from yesterday.
"Ah, my friends! Good morning!" He greets us. "I've had a breakfast set for you- eat up!"
I shove my face full of waffles while the guy tries sucking up to us, apologizing for the shoddy reception he gave us. He clearly knows that we are finding some things of value in the mansion, and he wants us to subtly know that he holds the keys in this town. I'm not giving him s***.
"That is the snakiest man I've ever met." Says Layton.
"And you're the snakiest I've ever met." I smirk at him. I can't believe he thought he was fooling us with his race! Nobody should be ashamed of who they are.
I head to the temple of the Coin Maiden with Layton, Penny and Talindra to see if we can get Layton's curse removed. I've been to many temples in my life, but this is the ritziest one I've been in. The acolytes greet us and are fascinated by my and Layton's greenness, thinking that is his curse. They don't have a cure for that, and it turns out their priest cant help Layton either. So, we leave. I pray a quick apology to Selûne for wasting my time going to a temple that is not hers. I'm sure she is pleased that I did not partake in Toss a Coin to the Pitcher.
We meet up with the rest of Dragon Ass. at Lionshield Coster, the mercantile. There we are subject to the most annoying teenager I have ever met- Minghee, who wants to be an adventurer, and is obsessed with us. After shopping, we go check out the shrine of Tymora, the lady of luck. The poor old elf woman is very down on her luck, and absolutely hates the temple of Waukeen.
"You can have more than one god followed in one town!" I say to her. She doesn't like that, and glares at my holy symbol. Perhaps she doesn't realize Selûne and Tymora are great friends?
She states that she can potentially cure Layton, but we will have to come back to see her. We decide to head back to the manor and continue checking out the basement.
In the room with the crevice we find some runes on the wall that speak of some kind of rift to a far realm... sLeeP says that involves mind flayers and other nasty things. Scary s*** that I want nothing to do with.
We move along and check out a door, which leads to a room with three dead men in it wearing very loud tights. As Kerata enters she is assaulted by shadows! I go in along with Drexler and Talindra, and turn undead. It only affects one of them, so I splash some holy water on one of the unturnt. It seems to really hurt it, so I call out to the others to try holy damage. The three shadows are bouncing all over the place and... wrestling? We have an awesome fight despite some members taking injuries, and one shadow gets away. As soon as the other two are destroyed, I rush out of the room and go to the door across the way where Penny saw the third shadow go. I bust down the door and enter, finding the room full of pulsating, trippy light and a weird portal thing surrounded in glowing runes.
"Guys, there's a weird pulsating thing in here!" I call.
"Ew, Alastrine! That's personal!" Kerata calls back.
Drexler joins me, and we take off after the shadow hiding in the corner. It, of course, flies out through the next door. As we are going after it, the others join us and scream that something is coming out of the portal. I turn around and see the most disturbing thing I've ever beheld. It's a big... blob thing with lots and lots of mouths. It starts jabbering nonsense, and I feel the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.
I send spell after spell into it as the others fight back. It's truly horrifying. Poor Penny gets blinded by it, and I'm glad I can restore her sight. Nothing messes with my sweet friend and gets away with it! Finally after a brutal battle the beast falls back into the portal. We scramble to figure out how to close this thing, and discover that by turning off the runes it closes. Crisis averted!
Drexler and I run through the next door, finding the shadow right outside in the corridor. I blast it with a guiding bolt, and Drexler finishes it off with his rapier. I turn around and clap Drexler on the back with a big smile.
"We make a good team, Drexy!"
He blushes and we head back to the others. We go to the shadow room to rest and recover from our beatings before exploring the next door. This one leads to a small bedroom with a desk, under which Drexler finds a crumpled up letter. There are the faint imprints of something having been written on another paper over it, so Talindra tries to find something to do a rubbing with. Unfortunately there is no dry ink, so thinking quickly I pull out a torch and light it. After a few minutes we have some useable charcoal, which Tali uses to reveal a message.
"We have completed our work here. Domino's moppets have been defeated, although the half-orc and the tiefling escaped. We believe the former ran for the woods, which means she will be ours soon enough. The latter, we cannot locate. We could not find the timepiece either, and it is possible the tiefling took it with her. However, if its magic functions as erratically as does that of the far gear, there may be more searching to be done.
Everything goes according to plan, and the manor should be free to claim. Loose ends are being tied up as I write this.
I am, always, your obliging servant,
Hoobur"
Underneath the letter is the symbol of a dragon skull with a sword going in the bottom of it. Some kind of logo that I don't know.
We go to another door after finishing this room, and it is a bit unyielding to me pushing on it. I ran my foot into it, and it breaks, sending me tumbling forward into the room. There is a crumbling statue of a kobold, probably what was blocking the door, and two beds absolutely crawling with nasty bugs. Two big chicken dragon things stand staring at me, and I know I've f***ed up.
"There's two giant cocks in this room!" I scream.
"Alastrine, again- keep it to yourself!"

It was nice to sleep in a bed after a long night of drinking and exploring. I up to a fantastic breakfast put on by the fat politician. His tone has changed and he appears almost nice. He leaves we eat. The inn owners tell me his behavior is not normally like that. Have to keep an eye on that one.
I go shopping with Kerata and I go shopping. The others head out either shopping or trying to cure Layton. We make our way to the blacksmith. She is a very muscular woman. I sell the rapier I looted earlier and make small talk while Kerata looks around her humble shop. Next we head to the general store and see the others. I pick up a healers kit. I find the teenage daughter of the general stores owners quiet comical. A whiney little thing begging her ‘rents to let her leave and go adventuring.
We hit up a shrine of Tymora hoping the elf there can heal Layton. Maybe tomorrow she can but I suspect she wants something in return aside from money.
Back into the basement of the mansion and moving forward. Kerata takes the lead and enters a room. Calling for aid Alastrine and I rush in. Shadows are bouncing all over the room attacking us. Alastrine turns one and together the other two are destroyed.
Following the third Shadow we come to a room with runes drawn in the corner, on the wall and around a pedestal on the floor. Suddenly a large creature appears on the pedestal! It looks like a red lump of wax but with many mouths all babbling something. Alastrine and I go to work! She casts spells while I whip it. The others join us and although the creature is strong we kill it.
Layton starts scrapping the runes off the floor and walls. Good idea it works and the portal powers down. How he knew to do that is beyond me....just like solving that riddle.
Alastrine and I go into the next room and utterly destroy the last shadow. After it dissipates our eyes lock. She complaints our teamwork, I blush like a punk and we leave the room.
After a rest in the shadow room we explore some more. Coming to another room we find a table and chair. This looks like an office. I find a crumbled piece of paper with impressions on it. Looks like it was written on. An impression was made and the letter recovered. We have a clue as to what happened here...the plot thickens as they say.
Alastrine takes the lead this time and after shouldering open a door she curses and says something about cocks in the next room.

Bright and early, right as rain on this sunny morning we come down stairs to enjoy some morning tea only to find a familiar face. The rotund politician Harbin Webster. He appears to have provided us quiet a spread for us this morn. I pleasantly speak to him and he asks for no hard feeling on the events of yester eve. I tell him pay no mind and soon he moves along leaving us to our pleasant morning. The moment he’s gone I turn to look at my compatriots. “That is the most serpentine man Ive met in this town. We must be careful in how we deal in his affairs” Alastrine begins chortling to her self. Sneezing as she pokes me in my ribs causing no visible reaction from me. "And you're the snakiest I've ever met." She comments as I simply sigh. We head on out while Kerata and Drexler go meet with the smith. First we go to the luxurious temple of the coin Maiden. We’re greeted by two friendly lovely people but they bulk at the idea of me haven been touched by lady misfortune. They speak tot he head priest and tell me to come back tomorrow and he can see what he can do. Great news but I’d like to see all my options. As lovely as this place is I want to see all my options. I just wish for help. Picking up the rest of our motley group I’m introduced to The shop keepers young daughter, wide eyed with innocent but very naive in the world of adventuring. Perhaps if we stay in this town I should teach her but another time. We stop by the humble shrine of Tymora to find it in very disrepair and a flustered elven cleric amongst it. I pay her a gold coin to lift her spirits but her mood is still very grime and sour with the presences of the new church. I receive the same answer to my problem much to my disappointment. It’s been very difficult to have this burden on me. We leave to dive once again into the depths of the manor perhaps on last time. Returning to where we left off I find a secret passage that doesn’t seem to lead to anywhere pacific. While I’m peeking into the corridors I hear a scream of pains and terror. Whipping my head back around I found my entire party had bugger off without me! Oh bloody saints! I run and run towards the center of the combat but it takes so much just to move through bodies I become very displeased from how slow my progress is. By the time I muscle my way into the room the dark shadow monster is dead. Abby informs me of another in the next room so away I go after Drexlers tail. I just manage to rejoin half angle and master whippers side when suddenly a cracklings of energy erupts in the corner of the room. A big pulsing dark orb radiant with energy, the arcane symbols around it glowing as what appears to be a creature with the consistency of dough but dotted with a revolting amount of eyes and snapping jaws. It begins jabbering, giving me the biggest headache as Penny frantically tries to move her feet. Drexler rushes to her along with me but I can’t pull her out. Glancing at the horror oozing in the corner I pat Drexler in the shoulder. “You protected now.” I tell him as I raise my shield. The creature moves and tries to eat Drexler but the creature flinches away as it feels it’s protective energy. I find my feet sink into the ground so I stretch out my hand and throw a puff of poison into its eyes. Finally all the party conveines, giving it hell. Once my feet can move to the giant black orb and strike it only for my blade to bounce off. Blast! That is not how to close the portal! My eyes dart around the room as I spy the pulsing glow of the arcane runes matching the flickering eyes of the horror. The group kills the creature and I understand now! I slash the tunes but only cause a shallow cut. The party catches on and begin to copy my actions but eventually we are able to turn off the portal! I let out a sigh. We did it. With that mess taken care of we progress to a small room, nothing but a bed and a desk. Drexler looks over the desk and finds a small crumbled up piece of paper as I make the bed only for Abby to jump one it. The plot thickens. Intrigue abound. Fascinating. We’re nearly done here in the bowels of this delapitated building. Just one door left, this time I muscle my way though, determined to not be left behind again. Abby attempts to open the door. Door not open. She calls Drexler but still not even a budge. She tries harder and suddenly she stumbled into the room and falls flate on her face. I can see little into the space. The sound of hissing And crows fill the air.

Hello Dragon Associates,
I know I'm just the Documancer but I figured I'd get the ball rolling with our plan for the downtime we are having. Please reply with what you are planning to do so we can form groups.
I myself would like to go find an ogre, so if we want to make a scouting party I am game to join.

As your Occultant, I would like to add my vote to the ogre hunt. Not only would hunting and slaying it bring us fame but I can slide a token on my abacus in a good direction for us. Thank you

Most excellent. Anyway, if the majority of the group is hunting the orger i may try and track the where abouts of the missing teifling. Possibly research history of our rivials. Though if everyone thinks my skills of observation would be better used for the orger i can leave that to someone else. Theres also the Orery that needs to be examined as well.
