Carok seemed to have failed to show up today. I don't know how the bloody hell thats possible but he's left me to babysit the rest of the lot and I've been left with squirrley, the mystic who seems to live in his own reality. Time to make him useful. Oh boy, what fun. I gave him one job. He drags someone out, i safely hold the rope. Its simple, its effective, should have worked but this door This F*** door. It has to be cursed because in goes squirrely and there goes the door, cutting my rope and leaving me hanging with the other half. I called to him then cursed at him but nothing happened so now Im alone.... In the Dungeon..................... I did the only thing a thief knows how to do. Get the hell out and figure it out later. The doors locked and their going to be fine. If whatever it is wanted to kill them it would have done it the first time. I need to have an extra pair of eyes.
PURple, my foe but i must over come this trail. It would look bad if a stupid room killed all my gang before we even started anything. The same guards are still there but they seem to have chicken blood in their veins. With a little persuasion one of them has gone with me and now i have a paper weight with me now. He doesn't believe me about the cursed door but HA! Jokes on him, the door is cursed because now I'm locked inside....... Damn, that was stupid. Quick the dagger! Ill stab myself the Pain will keep me awake!- "Thump"
This might be a problem. Rick and Pike tried to be cute today in the prison storage closet. Im helping myself and i hear them trying to wrap me up in chain. This pissed me off so as a display of dominates i cuffed myself and escaped. That should have diswayed smart people not to do it again but not ten minutes later F**king pike cuffs me so i punch him. HARD. This shut him up for now but i still had to embrasses myself and have the guards unshackle me. Ill have to watch out for those two. Stunts like that will get me killed. if they continue with their games they will find their wrists shot of hands. Well job well done and the kid has given me my reward. a tiny dog. This isn't the war beast i imagined or wanted. Once i'm powerful enough the king wont find it so funny to make me the fool but for now i must wait, be patient. Soon they will see dragon fire. Now i understand why the guard was such a pansy in the dungeon. i will keep his secret but i will not forget him and he better not forget me. A dwarf will make a good member of the guild so i plan to send letters once i'm free.

Jala Chronicles.
So tired, my bloods everywhere.... Ive been fading in and out of conscious all day thanks to Carok. Not once but TWICE ive been used as a human sheild against swarms of goblins but i suppose it was for the best despite how flimsy his plan was. Squirrley nearly got himself killed, again. Poor sap walked right into a hord of sleeping goblins but he made up for it by bashing some goblin head in later on after me and Carok saved him. i now have a long list of gnomes on my black list, Dent seems flighty, shes always missing when the action gets good. We now have a goblin with us. We should plan how to get to the goblin king and his bug bears. I have a idea.

my god i'm reminded time and time again how much off a murderous a*** the fighters are. They put me to shame, ME! I always thought i was the murdering A** but i was wrong. I'm as saintly as a nun compared to the people i've choose to accompany due to my pitiful strength and influence. Carok happen to charmed the lizardman cheiftain funny enough but then the fighter nearly died for a cup. Worst enough carok started this game with said cup as the fighter bleeds and is nearly dead. after this game i believed that we did'nt have to work any farther now that the lizards are under our control. I was starting to get ideas but then the party murders them all. Im not against blood shed but i am against meaningless fights. I'm here for dragons today not for murder, not like i care for their lives though i do feel pitty for the slaves. This feel out of character for the wizards, i thought he and dent lacked the guts or gull to murder a entire clan. what a waste, i could have used them to bargain with the other dragons or a good sized army for my guild.
Odd i came looking for a dragon but instead i find a elf children and a fluffy otters. fluffy seems to be desperatly look for his friend short whiskers so i told him the hard truth. He did not like and tired to runn but my silver tongue convinced him otherwise. The elf child and otter are a mystery to me. otters don't talk where i come from and the last elf i've seen was killed my a slime. It surprised me that pike has chosen to even babysit the child but knowing him ill he's probably planning some unspeakable horrors to this girl.
I have swayed to my side the lizard man slave Hiss, or at least that what i've been calling him until he learns common which i will teach hi-. Never mind........
I cant believe pike just sent the otter in there, if he dies I'm going to steal his weapons and throw him to the dragon.also im going to be watching the poor child. i hope her friend survives because god help her if her translator is killed. Hector appears to be leaving us. A message was delivered to us after we rested in the mushroom room. it appears he must come to the aid of his distressed mother and his heart calls him home. As someone who never knew her mother even i can understand the bonds of mother and child and i wish him well in his travels home.
Dent seems to believe that me and the dragons cant come to a understanding, watch me. these dragons should roughly be 50 or 30 years old. Its is a child and if theres one thing i know about dragons is that they are driven by greed and desire. What difference is there between me and a dragon them. Well see who's greed is greater. If it refuse then the only option is death either me or the dragon. I have a message for carok if i fail in my quest, hopefully it wont be needed but you can never be to sure when it comes to dragons.

I, Carok the Somewhat Amazing discovered negotiations with dragons go better when Pike and our new cleric are on magical steroids of giant strength. The new cleric seems "OK'. Not quite as bloody as Sir Pike, but holds his own in combat. Certainly his clerical skills were of use to me after the dragon sneezed her acidic breath all over me. Dent seems to have acquired news spells and power. I don't think I need to worry, yet. But, you can't be to cautious with other wizards. The monk Squirely hit the ground, but tries hard . . . I just wish he wouldn't waste treasure giving it to charity.
-In the end. The furry otter kin and his friend and the elven child were alive. -The dragon and the hatchlings are not. -That seems like a good resolve. -But not for the greedy Amazonian looking thief.
I guess it was her unhappiness and greed that caused her to attempt to rob me of that magical trinket from the Lizardmen. I defenestrated it to get her off me and she proceeded to dig through the much and mire of the common street to retrieve it. She crudely attempted to teach me to use a long bow, but the information she proudly shared seem quite rudimentary and I am sure given time I could of mastered archery on my own. It is such a shame she is so unrefined, she is of reasonable intelligent and beautiful . . . of course, how else would she ply her trade as a "dancer" for hire in the cruder establishments. Our shared drive to acquired wealth and power would make her a useful partner if she didn't choose to be so difficult. Attempts to charm her to make her more reasonable have failed.
I was happy to find my sweet donkey and mule safe and hope my spell will help them survive again.
After weeks bogged down the simple village of hovels we were of in search of yet another dragon.
Before leaving I invested in a magical shield for Pike. The magistrate of this town was out to take us for any silver he could chisel. I had to pay for lodging. The monk and cleric stayed with there "holy" brothers and sisters. Fortunately the room price was reasonable and the thief opted to rent a stable stall to sleep in . . . far from me. The time was largely wasted other the learning to use the bow. The good part of the time spent was the thief was banned permanently from the tavern, proving it to hold a little culture and refinement in a otherwise barbaric town. It provided a comfortable place to relax in the evening by the fire with a good pipe safe from the thief. Dent was in the tavern must nights near the bar, drinking too much, and had a room near mine, so I felt I could depend on him if needed.
We traveled to the next dragons den for two nights journey, we where greeted by bats and a grizzle. I must find an effective spell vs. larger bruins.
Now we are to an ooze, maybe the thief will befriend it?

Lately i seem to be running into some rotten luck. I experimented with my drinks and paid a heavy price, becoming both violently ill and wasting the giant strength potions. It was would be embarrassing to admit i had wasted it to our boss so i tired the classic switch a roo with some swamp water and dye. It would have worked if i hadn't forgotten about the magic check. Out of ideas and low on cash i panicked and jumped the wizard souring the deal fast. Thank god we managed to broker a deal before i head to start breaking legs. Pike was uncharacteristically kind to this elf child, he actually kept his word and brought her to a orphanage. Thats a good decision even though i would have liked the company. Were facing dragons and we cant always protect her. I cant believe i trusted the Carok the slippery wizard. after waking from my potion induced coma i find my pendent gone and baby dragons dead. Guess who i find wearing my pendent. i confronted said wizard, asked him Realllllyyyy nice but what does he do. He tries to charm me. he actually had the gall to reduce me to a sniveling dog. To enslave me! To DEGRADE me! screw him. I then proceeded to teach the wizard a lesson in manners, with nothing but my fist and a chair. He tried to distract me by throwing the trinket out the window, like i would fall for that and proceeded with my teachings. just as i was about to grab a glass of ale to smash over his skull it turned out the drink i grabbed was pike. That man had a death grip on his pint. when i tired to order another drink the bar tender kicked me out. Apparently this town has never seen a good tavern brawl before. Banished from the tavern i reclaimed my pendent and ran into a appraiser of goods. Apparently i was holding onto some good stuff like this necklace and the sword i traded from Pike. Maybe thats why Carok stole it from me. or not, i've already delivered my brand of justice but i do feel bad on beating up a man smaller then me.
Were going to be staying here for three weeks. Im regretting starting that fight in the tavern now but whats done is done. Now i sleep with the horses but at least i got a break from the gang. Ive got three more chances for my dragon dreams to come true. ill scavenge for some intel. Ive realized that my skills in the blade is weak so i bargained with Pike to teach me. He was reluctant but short on cash he finally agreed and did a descent enough job, though he could have been more gentle. My arms and legs are brused.
The wizard wished to learn marks men ship, which ill happily tutor him in. Its just too bad he isn't a great listener. Also i think the short man struggles with the large bow. He learns fast but his ego gets in the way. He cant see past the gruffness of my techniques. We stood at the posts hours. He makes a good first shot only to screw up the second and third once he gets cocky. I scolded and scuffed his ankles. in archery its all about focus. I even taught Squirrly who though clumsy has a talent but sadly the poor sap had donated all hi money to the poor leaving him destitute. How tragic. As a gift i bought him a bow and arrow before leaving town in search of the green dragon.

So far were still breathing, thats the best i can say. It been, how would i put it? A REALLY rough day. lost my armor to slime but at least i now feel 10 times lighter as a take away. The boys seem to have had a good laugh after that. The stink of these frog men is foul, not even the horses smell this bad but thank god i've improvised a guard against the stench. Ive noticed while we were fighter that Dent is lacking in a good weapon so i passed on Scalehide the magic dagger i had restored from its broken remains. Broken things make me sad. Maybe its because i see me in them. I see the same broken girl that existed before being sold to the caravan. The one who cried for mommy only to be told that mommy ant coming back, this is her life now and you better suck up and deal with it. A slave to the art of dance and broken by people. She seemed very pleased with my gift, it makes me glad its being put to good use. Its better for it to be in hands that can use it then sitting in my heavy bag of tricks. Carok seems to have found the worlds best bug repellent (giant insects not included) which save me from getting anymore injuries. My emergency stock has run dry and we have solely relaying on his crude patch jobs. I know when things have gone south but at the rate were going this could be bad. While searching the garage the frogmen call a bed Squirrly found a mysterious bag holding a coin. I asked to investigate its origins, I'm well versed in gold and hoped to gather more meaning of who the man is on the coin so i took it out for a better look and took a bit of the metal.
It taste bitter, the metal soft, thats good gold there. A fat piece of gold. the real general article no lies there ......... I changed my mind, screw Squirrly, he's not getting this back. Its mine, its mine, its mine, its mine, its mine, its mine, its mine........... keep it secret, keep it safe.
Everyones giving me a funny look, they see me holding the coin. They don't say anything. I spotted Dent quickly turning her head away, Pike snorted into his hand pretending to hide a cough, Squirrly is squirming where he stands refusing to look at me and something is giving Carok a good laugh. The only one who doesn't seem to be acting weird is the new cleric, who's checking his snake staff. I cant get a read on that guy. Did i do anything that would be amusing to him. Perhaps he's just tired. Nah, he's just a a***. Im not liking this though, if something i did is so funny to him then that means something happened to me that I'm not aware of. My suffering does seem to bring him some amusement, i don't get why. He's petty like that. I have a distaste on how my relationship with the group is turning out, they seem to think I'm out to get them or rob them. People are too complicated for me, this is why i like animals. Any way Ill find out later.
A unimaginable terror drove us right into the slimy tentacles of another carrion crawler. Another carrion crawler, i was hoping there would'nt be a second. This time Squirrely didn't run off again and we managed to kill it. We manage to squeeze in some shut eye only to be injuries heavily the moment we open our eyes. Sigh.

From the Journal of Carok the Somewhat Amazing,
I, Carok the Somewhat Amazing continue my quest for power and wealth among useful fools. First of all Pike and his new clerical friend continue to be sturdy combat allies. Th snake staff and healing definitely help. Next, the other wizard is behaving, but I still am unsure if I can trust her. This place reeks and the stench is awful. She lowered herself to dig in the refuse. That's a job for a thief or barbarian. Squirly is a nice fellow, he will make a good guard or servant in my keep someday. As for the thief, she still infuriates me. But, she has been better behaved. She clearly is obsessed with that gold trinket, it may be her undoing.
