Well out of game it was a slow start with necessary character creating. Once we started we were commission to find out what’s going on in the mines. We did some research at a local tavern, like all good AD&D adventures start. We didn’t get much but rumors and a basic map of the know upper levels - but the oddities seem below. We decided to enter via a secret dock - with directions from a sea gull. We acquired a boat a found the entrance to be a long grotto. We almost reached the subterranean beach and where attacked by Shillards Danger at Darkshelf Quarry Adventure Background Bazili Erak The Mission (meet Sir Reginald the goldfish) The Village (meet Peppy) The Pelyra River (meet a friendly seagull and an unstable drug runner with a nice boat) Quarry: Cavern Level Cavern Exit (attacked by Shlizzards) our plays on RPGGeek rpggeek.com/plays/thing/144076?userid=1168080

Attacked by Shlizzards is an understatement. More like devastated by Shlizzards then turned in to slave and held in a pen with other's sharing the same fate. Our thief's effort to save us failed, and we are leading our own rescue in form of a slave revolt in nothing but our undergarments. This shades of Z's dungeon where we were all locked up with nothing but our clothing. We will see how this goes next time! All the prisoners seemed to want to escape except a guy named Edith. Our brave thieves were able to confiscate the guards keys and lead a revolt. Even with no weapons and very little armor we were able to take down a Bugbear and keep the evil Dwarf at bay. Now let's take on that elf woman...

With the power of Kord flowing through his veins Hans Gunter Heinrich first of his name severely pummeled the bugbear. Hopefully Sir Reginald will be around to hear of the harrowing tale of the parties escape

Well, the insurrection of slaves seem to be going swimmingly, until the first spell was cast. One sleep spell and more than half of those still awake ran - but we made it safe into a room where our gear was - the the conscious party members made it out by the skin of their teeth with Yett and others being dragged. Weeks recovery and we are off to the air shaft. Attacked by Shlizzards is an understatement. Hans feels protected and strong in his shiney new suit of plate armor. The unlikely band of hero’s have found the ventilation shaft heading down into the mines. With any luck they will unravel the mystery of the mines!

We investigated the mine via the secret shaft, coming in from underground tunnels, and surprising some guards with arrows. RIP Jorge and Fernando. Two more guards attacked after Aevlin failed to convince them she was a new hire, and one died but not-so-brave Guiseppe joined us at sword point. Guiseppe was able to give us more info and lead us down into the lower levels of the mine, however we were attacked by goblins. After being jumped by more goblins and two human clerics, we made it through a battle with minimal losses. Rest in peace, Guiseppe. Your family will recieve a nice fruit basket courtesy of Aevlin's Deadible Edibles.

Aevlin's Edible Deadibles- Store Log: The body count in the Darkshelf Mines is keeping us busy. We have sent over 18 fruit baskets in the past couple weeks courtesy of Aevlin. Word came from the city manager that 3 of the hired adventurers working with our esteemed owner and boss have fallen. Although she did not take these lives, it is best that we honor their lives with some of our finest arrangements. I will see to the delivery myself, and hopefully not be shot by my dear cousin Aevlin.

Well lesson learned. This merry band of adventures don’t have your back. Yett is dead, died like he lived - gloriously and alone standing (and failing) with the few brave enough to stand. We have a band of adventures now - the heroes have fallen.

I don't know what to say. I am just a druid with a sharp stick, a wooden shield and now with white wolf. I speak with nature and can enrich the earth. I have no great powers. The only member of my group that understands my ways is the male fellow aspirant, or it should. We collaborate often but he too seems alien to me in his desire for power and his large ego. He seems to not understand that we do not grow to become powerful but to use this strength to give back to the land rather then to enrich yourself. That we are natures will incarnate. he must not have full accepted the teachings of nature which is odd considering we are rivals. I would like to keep our relationship friendly. we do not need to continue the tradition to sabotage each others efforts. I shall help him in his path to become a true druid. I only have one goal to grow in strength so i may better protect the flow of nature so i will share my syth once this mission is done. If we fight we fight and if i lose i will concede that nature has chosen him over me and fall into line even though i rather be on even footing with him. I hope when the time comes and were still alive we can find another pair of druids to battle so i not have to strike at him.
I pity poor tom, he just arrived in town ands already on the brink of death. Was forced to leave poor wolf behind, no one waits for me. Yett jerrs about wolf just like he did with rat and dead lightening lizards. I am not pleased. he is quick to kill and appears callous to towards me. I have not decided how to perceive the little green skins. they die just like any beasts yet they ride wolves. Do they treat them well? Wizard tries to lie to me when i held my spear to little green skins throat. He has his hands up yet wizard translate he wants to eat my wolf. How does this tiny thing know of wolf, i doubt he does so i will held. Yett though, egar for blood he is, cuts it down blooding the hems of my cloak. I feel this mess may have gotten out of hand considering the flood of green skins. If it was ten or fifteen maybe but i am glad of Toms incentive to run rather then fight spurred us to action. Yett seems very unhinged to willingly throw himself into a hoard of 50 goblins. His plan? Tie a rope around him and drag his unconiouse body out of the cave should he fall..... I don't know if its bravery or arrogance to try and taunt the green skins after they successfully chased us out of the cave. Whats stopping them from charging outside the cave if their ire snaps. Certainly the sickly wizard has more guts then a owl bear. Going in to speak with a hoard of goblins. I respect that but i refuse to give goblins gold. It is like giving water to a dying man. It is never enough and he dies anyway.
This was a heavy blow today. Three dead. Among them was Belus. I liked Belus. Dispit Yetts constant jabs at my animal friends or my fashion choices i did not wish this fate on him. he was ok, wish we could have been on better terms. I liked Tom to. He was young and bright. Too soon to die. I was right to worry about this method of entry into the guard tower. We were force to climb one at a time through two windows. This was a slow method, only three manage to get in. Tom should have gone first. A quiet man like him is better at stealth and quick to escape but Wizard was hasty. He tried to climb up by himself promoting Belus to go first then Yett, then tom. I had a bad feeling about this. They are not known for their stealth. No sooner there was chaos and noise. Holy man and fellow aspirant( i've forgotten his name, if he finds a animal avatar that is what i will call him just like mine true name is cuan "little wolf".) scrambles up the wall while Aevlin stands besides me pale as a ghost. I understand her hesitation, she is young and a archer. Not conducive in small rooms. What i don't understand is mines. while i waited my turn up the wall i guard from the rear, watching our backs. No sooner wizard comes flying through the window. He babbles about men in plate mail, how he slayed Tom. A moment later the holy man descends with a despondent shake of the head. They are gone now. Aevlin is besides herself. I considered Belus a bold leader, one who fearlessly strides into the darkness. With him and Yett gone there is a hole in our group. We now lack the strengh to protect the weakest among us. The only one suitable currently is Aevlin. If no one steps up to her side then i will.
