Inspiring Inspiration . . . Let's face a few facts. First, A lot of people play bards. "Bardic Inspiration" comes at 1st level. We see a lot of "Bardic Inspiration" at lower levels of 5e play. Finally, most people are lame at role-playing this. Yes, I said it, Lame. "I give you 'Bardic Inspiration'" is far from inspiring. That being said, here is a list a stumbled across that could add a little "Inspiration". 45 PHRASES FOR BARDIC INSPIRATION by Esper Short phrases a bard character can say when giving bardic inspiration. www.patreon.com/posts/25211083My favorite from the list . . . " If reckless shenanigans got us into this mess, then why can’t they get us out? " I like this but I'll defend anyone who doesn't role play with additional words as not being lame. Different people play the game with different levels of immersion and expectations. What makes D&D so great is we all get to define it for ourselves, and don't have to be defined by others. Then again, words are free, so if you are inclined to do so, feel free to use more of them in game.
