Grampa and Gramma have both recently died (and returned to us, hurrah!) but this has made my concern for both of them much greater.
Gramma is only happy in her revels, and she has plenty of those, so I only worry that she overtaxes herself in battle. I'm not sure what to do about that except to grow as strong as I can to take the burden off.
As for Grampa, I don't know why Aunt Svetlana won't agree to let him make a home with her, and frankly, I think it is for the best of the to-be kingdom that we make a good example to our people of increasing our numbers in the usual way. I have begun an endeavor to remedy this. It's very easy for people to forget that my family came here to this land for that very reason. Now, I'm not volunteering for this, naturally, such a condition would throw my balance off, and I have important work to do! I thought getting Auntie Nun in on the plan would help the situation, but I forgot that those two Aunties don't get along. It would be a nice mutual peace offering between them though, and I don't know where they think they will find better men. All I get is "You're too young to be meddling, blah, blah, blah." I know what I'm doing! And Uncle Crow finding a nice gnome lady (and that's making some assumptions about his preferences) is not going to resolve this. It's not. Grampa will still be unhappy, and Aunt Svetlana, I think, depended on my distraction of the coming war to deflect me from my purpose. I won't be deterred, merely delayed, while I rethink my strategy.
Gramma is a good General, of course, but this isn't her kind of fight. If only we had a Bard to persuade her...
