What fun we've had. I got to fight while my little blue friend watched. I guess we have decided to go into the desert. I don't know why either. There isn't any water there. We found a merchant and my friends we talking about buying camels. I don't think a camel would like it if I rode one. So the blue one bought an elephant! I have named him Mr.Stompy. I love him. After being in the desert for several days a sandstorm was upon us. We took shelter as best we could but the storm was too great. When I awoke my friends and I have been gagged and bound by chains. I know that I could easily break free of these bonds but I have no idea where my stuff could be and I know I would be fine to fight these people but my friends may get hurt. I must wait. I hate waiting. Waiting makes me angry. There was a loud noise above and I took that as my sign that it is time to break free. I have broken the bonds of my friends and we found a secret door that leads deeper into the tomb. We found a room with glowing bugs and a dead body on the ground. I have been giving a tiny sword. I gave it to the musical one because he looks like he may need it more than I. However I have found a large stick with feathers on the end. At least with this I can use both hands to swing. There was a resounding blast that seems to have harmed my friends and they have began sweeping the sand. I'm not sure why. They found all kinds of marking on the ground under the sand! My new angry bearded friend decided to look at a door and run back across the symbols and get injured. The bird lady flew me and the blue one across to the newly opened door when I asked for a glowing bug so I can see. It bit the other bearded one. My angry friend and I began squishing bugs. Then there was a crashing noise behind me. I'm the one that is supposed to do the smashing. Then some pretty kitties came out of the other room. I love kitties. I picked one up and was loving it until it tried to scratch me. That made me angry. I started smashing all the cats. Stupid mean cats. We found a magic bag the was full of sand and had a jar with a liver in it. It must be important. In the next room I found a jar with a brain in it. Someone must be missing these. I will find all of the missing parts and return them.

Our journey it seems now continues into the desert. We prepared as best as we could for the trials ahead. Found a merchant and we were set to procure some camels for the trip. However the goliath realized that he would be better off carrying the camel than the camel carrying him. So that simply will not work. However the child Ibn was able to talk the merchant into selling us an elephant as proper means of transport for Ilkan. I was amazed to see that after all we've been through they still have that innocence about them. Not a care in the world. I admire it really. Ilkan started hugging the elephant and calling him Mr. Stompy. Speaking to him as you would a dog. It gave me a chuckle and lifted my spirits. I'm starting to wonder if I wasn't sent on this path to help these companions, but perhaps they are meant to help me. Making our way through the desert we encountered a huge sandstorm. We hunkered down as best as we could, however the storm was to powerful and I fell unconscious. When I awoke I found myself stripped of my weapons, armor and other effects. I was bound in chains and gagged. But I was relieved to see my companions with me, and alive. It is unknown how long we have been prisoners. A few days best guess. However a secret door in our cell was discovered, then a loud noise from up above created the perfect opportunity for Ilkan and Boulder to help us break our bonds and make our escape through the door. We came across a room that turned into a horrifying and dangerous puzzle. We escaped that only to encounter evil cats. I'm not entirely sure what these have done to Ibn. But dispite my attempts I cannot get him to wake up. I have tried to remove disease, I have tried to mend his wounds but I cannot. This leads me to believe he may be cursed. He is alive although I don't know for how long. unfortunately I am not familiar with this curse, and do not know how to rid this poor child of it. I will not give up on him though. Until my last breath I will do all I can for him.

Alot has happened since I last wrote. The most important thing though, I was able to cure the blue child Ibn. That is a huge relief for me. I was unable to save others in the past, and those losses still haunt my dreams. Being unable to save a child would likely drive me mad. After a moment's rest we were set to move on and look for a way out. From out of the shadows came a halfling. He was also bound in chains. Another prisoner I imagine, although I don't know where he came from. Between Ilkan, and Boulder they were able to easily break his bonds. Then it was time to press on. Boulder and Ilkan were trying to open a door when all of a sudden the wall next to them collapsed and Boulder fell through it and down a hole. Our new companion was able to climb down to him, and he found what turned out to be a secret door to a burial chamber. We looked around for anything useful trying our best... Well some of us trying our best not to disturb this grave. Boulder found a device and a horn that he was clever enough to figure out it went to a horn we encountered previously. Ara flew up to that horn and told us that the device he found had opened an unseen set of stairs. We all headed up, however when we got there, through the horn we could hear the familiar sound of Ilkan in combat. I truly feel bad for anything that gets on the Goliaths bad side. Well back down we rushed just in case. I made it in time to see Ilkan strike down an undead corpse and a large cloud of sand turn into a stick. Normally I am completely against taking things that do not belong to me, especially things that belong to the dead. However given our current situation, I think it wise to ignore the moral high ground and instead opt for logic and increasing our chance of survival. Good thing too because one of the necklaces found turns out gives me a greater restoration spell. Exactly what I need to cure the curse on my party members. We finally made our way outside after dealing with some spiders. The sun is incredibly hot and beating down upon us. I don't care, it is a relief to get out of that tomb, to know we won't die in there. To breath fresh air again, brings great joy. There's something odd though. The desert is no longer made of sand... It appears to be glass?? We made our way over to the remains of a camp where we encountered one of the ones who put us in chains. Ilkan, and Boulder were not very friendly to him. Understandably so. Also we were able to find some replacement equipment. It will have to do for now. Unfortunately no rest for the weary. As soon as we could get dressed, we heard a lound sound very close by...

The blue one still hasn't awoken. I am beginning to worry about him. When the floor moved, my angry friend moved so that I could grab hold of the door to keep the blue one safe. A very short man, I believed he was just a boy walked up to us out of the shadows. I tore his chains from his wrists. We have made yet another new friend. We have found a sealed tomb. I want to know what is inside. I pulled a spike from the ground and began chipping the gold seal away. I gave a mighty shove to push the lid away but it moved more easily than I had thought. A mummy stood up and got out of his own resting place. I may have made a grave mistake. I will keep this mummy here long enough for my friends to escape, even if it is the last thing I do. I yelled for the bird lady to get the halfling out! I got mad and began slamming my club into the mummy as hard as I could, calling forth lightning to strike him down. He tossed his golden staff that transformed into a huge snake made of sand which wasted no time wrapping itself around me. I wasn't running anyway. At least my newest friend has gotten away. I'm content to die protecting my friends. Suddenly the bird lady is now flying above me! I yelled for her to escape! The only way to save her is to crush this mummy. With one more crushing blow I took him down and the unlife left him and his giant snake became a staff again. I took his staff as my trophy. As I turn around every one of my friends were in the room with their weapons drawn for combat. They came back for me. We spent some time looking at the things we found on the mummy and in his hole. I guess I can't use his gold staff so I gave it to the one who heals me. I like him. The bird lady has given me a silver ring of ghost protection! These friends of mine truly care for me. I will never let anyone harm them again! The blue one has awakened! The bearded healer has woke him! I have missed his company. Now it is time to find my ax. I broke open doors to find a pile of sand. My ax may be in there. I dug and found spiders that I squished. And then a much larger one tried to eat one of my friends. I squished that spider too. We made our way out of the tomb into the open air again. It is hot and dry and bright. The sand looks to be made of glass. We spotted an encampment that appears to be abandoned. Until a man walks out with a big curved sword. If I can't have my ax then I will take your sword. We beat him until he told us where our stuff was. Finally my ax is back in my hands! But I am still missing my swimming cloak. The man tells us that a mighty dragon has our magic stuff by the oasis. Then the bird lady hit him in the head. I was going to force him to help us fight the dragon if we cannot reason with it. If I cannot reason with this mighty dragon, I will either become dragonslayer or I will be dead. I hope I can keep them safe against this mighty dragon.

HUZAH! This is a great day. I have met another new friend. She was bound in chains so I easily cut them apart with my ax. I waited to see if she wanted to fight but instead she wanted to be a friend. I'm hungry. My angry friend and I are going to get some fruit. It's a competition of sorts. He is going to knock down as many fruits as he can with his fist and then I'm going to try with my ax. Before we could get our fruit a sand bug came out of the sand next to me and another next to the rest of my friends. My friend grabbed the one next to me so it couldn't escape as I cleaved it in two as another came from the sand. I cleaved it in two as well. I wanted more to hit so we dived into the sand to try to swim after them, but it didn't seem to work. I guess I'm not very good at swimming though sand. After all that he punched the tree and one fruit fell down atop his head. I took a mighty swing at the tree and cut clean through it dropping four more fruits and the whole tree, missing my friend. We ate our fill and used the tree to drag the rest of the fruits, the sand bug carcasses, and the sand person to offer them to the dragon. I approached hailing the dragon as I went. I had awoken the dragon and he didn't have anything nice to say. He called me an insect, told me he wasn't going to give me my cloak back, and called me and my friends animals. I cannot let that stand. He has insulted my courage and will pay. My bearded healing friend begged me to not attack, but the dragon has gone too far. Today I either become dragonslayer or I die. I got mad and hit the dragon with all of my strength. It decided to try to run, taking another massive wound from my mighty ax. It breathed at us. Its breath stinks. That makes me angry. To my surprise my healing friend had his sand snake try to grab me and then attack me and squeeze me. With two mighty blows from my ax I destroyed the snake and was back at the dragon. The angry one had grabbed it and then threw it to the ground. As I was driving my ax into the dragon again, I was hit by a warhammer. Wielded by one of my friends. I'll deal with that after I have slain the dragon. With one more mighty swing of my ax and a bolt of lightning I felled the mighty beast. Now for the one who hit me. He hit me twice, so I will return those two hits. As the other angry one tries to get in between us the healing one disappears. After I calm down I find my cloak and a shiny crown with green stones. I scoop up all the pieces of broken staff and attempt to fix it. My friends have told me that it is gone forever. I dove into the water and transformed into a manta ray, enjoying the fresh water once again. We used some parts of the dragon and made a sand boat. With my navigating experience, we get swiftly out of the desert. We find an inn in the bad lands to stay for the night. We eat and drink and listen to the old man. I warn the young lady to beware the blue one as he gets very handsey. And suddenly a group of gnolls burst in through the door dragging a dead body. That made me angry. I began cutting them down one by one until none remained standing. I took their bodies and burned them. In the morning we begin tracking where these gnolls came from.

Its not often one can say they wrestled a dragon to the ground. But today, I Boulderdash can say it with pride. Perhaps I should elaborate? We met a dragon after exploring around the oasis. A pompous creature if ever I saw one. Sitting pretty on a pile of our stuff, I got bored talking to him and wanted to check out the rest of the sphinx when the dragon took offense and attacked. Big mistake. I managed to get my hands around the dragons neck and held him down while Ilkn attacked. The dragon tried to get free but I slammed him to the ground. Me, a single dwarf held down a dragon. It was glorious. Now we fight gnolls. After a dragon, I pity these gnolls while I sharpen my spikes.

All my life I've lived by a code. Honor the Gods. Defend those who cannot defend themselves. Live each day with courage. Do not waiver. This code is how I have dedicated my life. They are words to live by. However words themselves are meaningless without action. The actions one takes in life are how they are defined, and how they are judged. I find myself torn and conflicted over recent events. I am certain that I was sent on this path with these companions for a reason. At first I thought I was to just make sure they stay alive. But the more we have been through the more I found that they were helping me too. Helping me find peace and redemption for past mistakes. Today was not a good day. We came across a young dragon. A dragon who while arrogant, and a bit condescending while talking to us did kill off quite a bit of evil in the world. Not only that but is very much responsible in assisting us in escape weather he knew or meant to. The problem is Ilkan and Boulder do not recognize these actions, nor do they think of the other good deeds this dragon could do. All they know is it insulted them therefore it must die. I tried as hard as I could to stop the fighting, I tried all I could to make sure no one would get hurt. I attacked my fellow companion Ilkan. It hurt me more than it hurt him to strike him. I hope he understands that I didnt attack him out of anger or hatred, but out of love and trying to protect a life that was good and held meaning. I have seen these brave souls stand up to evil and triumph. But now I have seen a side to them that makes me question where they draw the line. What if a poor farmer is having a bad day and loses temper and says something Ilkan or Boulder find offensive. Will they simply kill him? These questions now tear me apart. The once clear line between right and wrong has now become a bit blurry. Perhaps I can teach them a higher moral path and guide them to be not just great warriors, but great hero's. Our journey has taken us to lands I've only heard stories of from long ago. We took shelter in and Inn, and shortly after settling down for the night the Inn was attacked by Gnolls. There is evil in these parts, I can sense it. Perhaps this will serve as test for my companions. To see if they are truly worthy hero's that can do some great things, or if they are a potential threat to the world that my order will have to decide how to handle.

As a new dawn breaks, we set out to find the source of the evenings nightmares. The trail left by these evil creatures is easy enough to pick up. The Inn keepers told us of a druid that lives in these woods. If we can find him and convince him to aid us in our quest it would greatly improve our chances. We walk for many miles through the seer. Around us I can see smoke and forest fires. It sense an eerie chill up my spine to think of what caused this. Hopefully it's just nature but on my guard for something else. After several miles we encountered 2 very large iron bulls. I have never seen a dwarf charge at 2 giant bulls and then wrestle them to the ground. What anger is it that drives Boulder? Is it some sort of mental health issue that makes him not think straight. Or is his rage a result of a more personal deep pain. I wonder who hurt him. Ilkan was right there with Boulder smashing away. I am still undecided about his recklessness. Sometimes it seems as though it's just out of pure joy that he smashes things with an axe. But most times it's because he will stand in the way of anything trying to hurt his friends. After the bulls were put down, there was a bird flying around watching us. The druid? I thought to myself. But before I knew it Flint shot the bird with fire and off it flew. Ara the only one who could keep up chased after it. She came back shortly, and it would seem that was the druid and he will not help us. Great.... we marched for the rest of the day without much else. It wasn't until we were ready to make camp that we were ambushed by a small force. They were actually rather tough and it took all of my abilities to keep Ilkan up and fighting. Boulder was throwing himself around the battlefield into everyone. Ibn is proving to be very powerful for a young child, although still does not have full control of his powers. Ara and Flint provided ranged support and slowly we were able to wear down these enemies. Then we were finally able to settle down for the night. The next day we continued looking for tracks when from off in the distance we heard a screeching and a red dragon flying this way. The dragon was able to make 1 attack with its breath before Ara trapped it in the book. Clever girl.. After that I noticed that someone had trapped my pants.

How do we begin tracking these gnolls across this vast wasteland? I guess we follow the tracks. After a few hours of traveling two large metal bulls came charging at us. Well that's a challenge. I charged at them and hammered my ax into its metal hide over and over as boulder threw the other to the ground. After a few short moments of fighting I had slain the two mighty beasts. I thought about cooking their meat, but it didn't look like it would taste very good. A good while later we were on our way to a small group of trees so we could take shelter for the night. The bird lady was assaulted by arrows. That made me angry. She hid and I charged in as a great firey explosion rocked the treeline. As I was looking for a way to climb up into the trees, the people came down to me. This is my lucky day. I was surrounded by six men with swords. As long as they are focused on my, they can't hurt my friends. I saw some of my friends skirting around them, stabbing and shooting at them. Boulder began throwing them to the ground to make easier targets for me. Slowly I began cleaving them in two. As their friends died they never turned to run. These men have great courage to stand toe to toe with me. For that, they have my respect and I will give them a warriors death and I will burn their bodies. We awoke the next morning and headed off in search of the gnolls again as we spotted a great red dragon flying right for us. Boulder and I took positions in front of the rest of the group as two lightning bolts flew past us and wracked the dragon. When the dragon neared it released a mighty breath of fire. Then, the dragon disappeared. I don't think we have seen the last of that dragon. We were then off to find the dragon's hoard. We came upon a wild fire with fire creatures inside.
